First part of a series:
As a scientology outsider I'm not privy to the intricacies of scion-speak and their often ridiculous corporate structure and doctrine. However, over the years the more I've learned the more I've become totally fascinated about this modern day car-crash of a cult masquerading as a religion and the total fuckery it imparts on all those under it's spell.... especially the dumbass celebs it somehow managed to get its hooks into.
Discovering all of this I come across comments on forums that made me laugh, educated me, astounded me and so on... I'd thought I's share some of them:
- Thank you for your kind comment. I struggled with understanding how those with full access to all the information can have even the slightest regard for L Ron Hubbard. I now have a hotch-potch of theories and observations which kinda, sorta gives me an idea of how its possible.First, let me state that Scientology is the only area of study I have come across where Occam’s Razor doesn’t work. Scientology is never as it first appears and its always worse than you think. So . . .My personal overarching view is that the indoctrination process is so thorough that a person’s very psyche is subsumed by a standard yet maleable prefabricated Scientology personality. This invasion and occupation of the human psyche is achieved by various means but predominantly via the alteration and specialisation of the language a person uses to think, the manipulation of emotions to enforce millieu control, and the inducing of regular hypnotic-like trance states. The first two devices are common to most cults, the third is to some extent but it was L Ron Hubbard who spent decades fine-tuning the hypnosis aspect. It doesn’t take very long before the new Scientology personality emerges and then needs to be taught, first, what to think. A bit like a computer, the personality is “booted” with “stable data” upon which the operating system relies for its core, or kernel, function (the Thetan) and ability to make best use of all peripheral abilities gained on the way up The Bridge. That core data cannot be questioned, or examined, or even doubted on pain of death – yes, death. A mild manifestation of this can be seen, generally speaking, in almost all wog vs Scientology discussions where any criticism of Scientology is automatically perceived, by Scientologists, as an attack on themselves personally. At least, that’s how they respond. Never defend, always attack, never discuss Scientology with non-Scientologists except when disseminating as per the manual, talk about wins, talk about human rights and *my* religion, deflect, distract, dismiss (cf PR Series) etc, etc. It is a “crime” to do otherwise. One of the earliest and most important “stable datum” to be installed in the new Scientology personality is that L Ron Hubbard is “Source”; a mighty thetan and big being who, through the goodness of his spiritual gifts and scientific genius is making available a path which, if followed exactly as laid down, will, 100% of the time, lead the individual to recover inherent but obscured God-like powers AND improve the conditions of all those around them AND lead Earth with all of mankind into a wonderous and magnificent new stage of evolution. It is essential that this idea is properly installed early because all progress in Scientology largely depends on trusting L Ron Hubbard, and that’s because there is not an iota of evidence to support any of his fundamental teachings. Not one. Instead, all progress is predicated on taking L Ron Hubbard at his word before the teachings are then transformed into “certainty” during Auditing and maintained as such in the reward/penalty driven emotional and social environment.I suspect that because the “stable data” about L Ron Hubbard is introduced so early, and so thoroughly reinforced, it is often the most heavily defended and last to be properly examined, if at all. That’s because: no L Ron Hubbard = no Scientology. For someone escaping Scientology, the experience is often rather like a death. Among the first things they have to do is to learn to think again.Shit, am I still raving on . . . well, like I said, Occam’s Razor doesn’t apply and you asked ; )From Tabayoyon 1994:41. I also observed a number of individuals go crazy when exposed to the Hubbard Tech even absent malicious intent on the part of the persons applying the Tech. For example, I saw John Colletto go psychotic after he was exposed to the OT III level (Operating thetan level III) materials. He got a pistol. In my presence, he shot his wife in the head. She died instantly. Then John ran a short distance before turning the pistol on himself and committing suicide. Moreover, John Travolta’s auditor told me of two occasions on which John Travolta went into deep depression after auditing and therefore suffered a psychotic break. [Note: Marty was at the Colletto shooting]130. Tom Cruise’s p.c. (pre-clear) folder was kept in the Gold case supervision (c/s) office which I had access to as a security missionaire. It contains supposedly confidential information derived during auditing sessions. However, the contents of such pre-clear folders have been culled and used against people. it is my opinion, based on my Scientology training, education and experience, that such information is collected by the Scientology organization in order to be able to exert control and influence over people such as Tom Cruise or John Travolta should they ever attempt to leave the Scientology organization.
