In the story, his character dies only to find himself back two days prior to his untimely end, and he discovers that he can make the most of the time loop to boost his fighting skills as he attempts to change fate.
The Hollywood icon has been filming the new flick in London since last summer, and stars alongside Emily Blunt.

While Tom has been spotted on set on numerous occasions, the Brit actress has only been seen a couple of times and at one point she was snapped pointing a gun at her co-stars head.
Directed by The Bourne Identity's Doug Liman, the film also stars Titanic's Bill Paxton as the tough leader of Cruise's platoon.
A large chunk of the movie was filmed in Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire - the same studios where the Harry Potter franchise was shot.

While not on set Tom has been busy trying to sue a magazine for $50million for libel.
However Life & Style are unwilling to go down without a fight and have requested to know intimate details of the actor's relationship with his six-year-old daughter Suri.
The details include her 'mental and emotional state' following her parent’s divorce, along with exact details of Cruise's contact and visitation schedule with the six-year-old.
The case comes after the magazine suggested that the actor had abandoned his daughter following his split from her mother Katie Holmes, a claim which Cruise strenuously denies.
