WHO’D LIKE ANOTHER SCARY GLIMPSE INSIDE THE INNER-WORKINGS OF TOM CRUISE’S MIND?
One month on from that In Touch cover story that pointed out that it had been 44 days since Tom Cruise has seen Suri (above being dropped off at school yesterday) andstillhe hasn’t jetted in from London for a weekend in New York with his daughter and a gang of paparazzi in tow to record the moment for posterity (and the covers of the American tabloids).
If you have ten minutes spare and feel like being freaked out by how into Scientology Cruise is then read this excerpt from a book called The Scientology Reformation on Marty Rathbun’s blog.
Here’s the most worrying paragraph – which is Tom explaining about him and David Miscavige being ‘big beings’:
“Dave and me, we’re big beings. We are surrounded by DB’s (degraded beings). DBs can’t help but try to destroy big beings. That’s just the way it is in this universe. You have to understand this. This is LRH, man. It’s the plight of the big being getting jumped on by all the degraded beings. You gotta be unreasonable to survive around a big being like me. You can’t be weak. You gotta be strong to protect the big being from all the degraded beings.” Cruise slammed his fist on the table, veins popping out of his neck from the intensity of his tirade…
People have been hospitalised in psychiatric units and labelled as paranoid Schizophrenics for less.
We can all picture him ranting on intensely like this, believing every word and pounding the table all righteously, no idea how mental he seems.
What concerns me is that given that Scientologists believe that kids are reincarnated adults in kids’ bodies, maybe Tom’s purposely not seeing Suri because she’s (according to him) surrounded by Suppressive People at her new school and at home and worse- perhaps he thinks Katie’s a ‘degraded being’? (Being known for the rest of your life as the cute girl from Dawson’s Creek who sold her soul and the rights to her first-born for several million to help promote a freaky cult notwithstanding).
What the poor lamb classifies as ‘degrading’ when he considers a Cleveland Steamer a fun night in with friends I shudder to think.
Is Tom Cruise Considering Leaving Scientology For Realz???
This is the SECOND time we've heard this rumor in less than a month, so maybe there is some truth to it…
A friend has come forward to reveal that Tom Cruise blames Scientology for his third divorce and might be giving up the religion he has practiced since 1990 as a result.
The unexpected divorce from Katie Holmes seems to have given the actor an epiphany because he's starting to think that L. Ron Hubbard's teachings aren't marriage friendly, as the source explained:
"Now he's lost the most precious thing in his life, he sees that his Scientology beliefs may not have hurt his box office [success] but have ended not one but two marriages. He lost Nicole and now his wife and daughter. He has always used the Scientology techniques but he has now realized they don't work in marriage."
He's just starting to realize this now? Guess third time really is the charm!
On top of his marriage woes, his relationship with Church leader David Miscavige has been dissolving as well. His friend continued to explain:
"Tom and David have been attached at the hip but this relationship has deteriorated and that, along with the loss of Katie and Suri, is forcing his to question his role in the church. He hasn't lost faith completely, but he is blaming Scientology for what has happened."
While we totally believe losing Katie and Suri left him a little disillusioned with Scientology, we'll believe this rumor when we see it come true!
We doubt Katie would welcome her ex back into her life with open arms, but at least his next romantic relationship won't be doomed from the the start.
Florida spa owner’s business sign saying he is not a Scientologist grabs national attention
Raquel Erhard – Fourth Estate Cooperative Contributor
Clearwater, FL, United States (4E) – A local business owner from Florida who wanted to let the public know that he is a devoted Southern Baptist and not a member of the Church of Scientology as most people assume because the shop is very near downtown Clearwater, has posted a sign last month saying just that.
The notice, which is emblazoned in red letters on a white background and located in front of Travis Wilkinson’s Berry Beautiful Salon and Spa says: “this is one of the only spas in downtown Clearwater not owned by a Scientologist.”
There are estimated to be around 10,000 town residents who are members of the group.
Wilkinson said that “it’s important for people to understand it’s not discrimination; it’s a statement of fact.”
He says, “people may not consider this politically correct, but there’s nothing illegal about it.”
A devoted Southern Baptist, he admitted that for people to think that he is a Scientologist is very hurtful personally.
Wilkinson claimed that since the sign was posted last month, his business has doubled and now he’s encouraging other business owners to do the same.
The salon owners moved his business to downtown Clearwater from Largo less than a year ago and suffered a slowdown in business. One day, he discovered that the Church of Scientology may have influenced people’s reaction because of a book he sells.
His uncle published a ‘Diabetes Handbook’ which very much looks like the ‘Dianetics Handbook’ and that made people associate them to the group.
He decide to put up the sign to emphasize that “we’re not Scientologists. In fact, we’re Southern Baptist Christian based.”
Wilkinson also created the Clearwater Small Business Coalition, it offers 30 businesses who display the sign free membership, but not one business owner has signed.
He explained that most businesses said they are scared and afraid of repercussions, although there are 15 businesses interested to sign in. He is waiting to have 30 members before going public.
Clearwater Chamber of Commerce’s President Bob Clifford said that the sign “is totally inappropriate in downtown Clearwater or any place else, it’s totally negative.”
Clifford added that the reason some businesses on Cleveland Street are vacant is not because of the Church of Scientology’s presence, but because property owners are charging too much per square-foot, and can afford to wait for the right tenant.
WTSP reportedly tried a few times to get a response from the Church of Scientology, but the group’s public relations spokesperson Pat Harney’s final answer was “no comment.”
