The connection goes back seven years, Gray explains:
the story of how Farrakhan came to embrace it concerns a Nation minister in Los Angeles named Tony Muhammad. In 2005, Muhammad was beaten by the LAPD at a prayer vigil he’d helped organize for a young man killed in a drive-by shooting. The incident plunged him into an agitated, depressed state. A concerned friend introduced him to Scientology, which he credits with saving his life. When Farrakhan later met with Muhammad, he was amazed by the transformation and, as Muhammad tells it in an audio clip posted on YouTube, exclaimed: “Whatever you’re on—I want some of it.”
Five years later, things moved into high gear:
The first large-scale introduction of Scientology to Nation members took place in August 2010, when hundreds of believers from around the country traveled to Rosemont, Illinois, near the Nation’s headquarters, for a seminar in Dianetics, a foundational belief system of Scientology. There, they were guided through auditing sessions—a kind of hybrid between hypnosis and confession—in which a Scientologist purges painful experiences from his subconscious in the presence of an “auditor.” At the end of the seminar, Farrakhan told the group he wanted everyone in attendance to become a certified auditor.
“I’ve found something in the teaching of Dianetics, of Mr. L. Ron Hubbard, that I saw could bring up from the depth of our subconscious mind things that we would prefer to lie dormant,” Farrakhan announced on July 1, 2012. “How could I see something that valuable and know the hurt and sickness of my people and not offer it to them?” Farrakhan plans to build a Scientology training center in Chicago and has even stated that “Nobody can lead in our Nation until and unless they become clear,” a reference to Scientology’s most enlightened state. He also voiced a hope that the two organizations maintain a “long and beautiful relationship.”
In turn, the head of Scientology, David Miscavige, finds bringing blacks into his organization super cool, praising “a most influential culture. … I’m speaking of those who truly set cultural trends, and across every avenue: fashion, music, you name it. So talk about a pervasive culture, talk about a permeating and penetrating culture, or to put it another way: Most white folks wouldn’t have a clue of what it means to be cool if it weren’t for black America.” To smooth the way for NoI’s members to rise through the notoriously expensive Scientology ranks, Miscavige even cut them some financial breaks.
Comment: This fascination with Dianetics probably marks the terminal point for NoI. Normative Islam reigns supreme in America. (October 25, 2012).

The Scientology-Nation of Islam Alliance: Sideshow or Armageddon?
have been bringing up the strange relationship that has grown up between Scientology and the Nation of Islam. Most recently, Eliza Gray did a wonderful job looking at Louis Farrakhan’s embrace of L. Ron Hubbard in The New Republic.
For several years now some of us in the press It’s been fascinating to watch Farrakhan explain in videotaped lectures how he’s managed to fall under the spell of the whitest man who ever lived. And it’s true that he’s asked many of his followers to get trained in Dianetics and to get training as auditors. But on this Saturday, we’d like to open up the blog for discussion of a question we have about this strange relationship between such unusual groups.
For whatever reason, Farrakhan has decided to embrace the ideas in Hubbard’s books, and to make sure a large number of his followers get trained in order to benefit the Nation of Islam. But we wonder, is there really all that much cross-pollination going on in the other direction? What we mean is, are these NOI members actually becoming active members of the Church of Scientology and gaining positions of authority in it under David Miscavige?
Tell us what you think: is the Nation of Islam embrace of L. Ron Hubbard just a weird sideshow, or is Miscavige really allowing Scientology to tie its destiny to Farrakhan?
well worth checking out the comments https://ortegaunderground.wordpress.com/2012/10/27/the-scientology-nation-of-islam-alliance-sideshow-or-armageddon/
We in RTC greet you in the name of the Honorable COB RTC David Miscavige, the Beneficent. All praise be due unto COB.
Regarding the Nation of Islam, we in RTC already have our Battle Plan in place. Even a brief perusal of our scriptures will reveal to one and all that the Church of Scientology considers Islam to be an R6 implant religion.
As a practical matter — and we in the Church admitted this in writing to the IRS — Scientologists are expected to give up all other religious commitments. Scientology does not permit its members to engage in “other practices” such as Islam or Christianity. However, we in RTC are temporarily allowing NOI members to carry on with their R6 dramatizations until we come to cause over the Nation of Islam.
We in Scientology are far too polite – at least for now — to publicly tell NOI members that they are an inferior R6 group. Nevertheless, the time is quickly approaching wherein NOI members receiving Scientology auditing will have the “Great Scientology Cognition” that blows out all stops and barriers to their spiritual progress on the Bridge to Total Freedom.
We in RTC are generally opposed to feeding pc’s cogs, but for the sake of expediency we are making an exception for NOI members: The “Great Scientology Cognition” is that the Bible, the Qur’an, Islam, Allah, and Jesus are all installed implants and that Elijah Mohammed himself was in fact implanted.
When the Great Scientology Cognition occurs — and it will — the “must be an NOI member” implant that was installed by Psych implanters in the Between Lives Area will unmock. NOI members will at last be free to walk away from the Nation and realize their full spiritual destiny as Scientologists. Those who refuse to leave NOI will be written off as wogs.
To effectuate the Great Scientology Cognition, we in RTC have already designed the NOI Repair Rundown. This rundown will repair the damage that NOI tech has done as we in RTC have found that participation in the NOI can also turn on things that it cannot turn off.
A sample of the Nation of Islam Repair Rundown is shown below so that NOI members can look forward to what we in RTC will do to repair and rehabilitate them:
1. IN THE NATION OF ISLAM WAS THERE TROUBLE WITH EXTERIORIZATION OR INTERIORIZATION?
2. IN THE NATION OF ISLAM WERE YOU FORCIBLY EXTERIORIZED?
3. IN THE NATION OF ISLAM WERE YOU GIVEN A WRONG INDICATION?
4. IN THE NATION OF ISLAM WERE YOU GIVEN A WRONG ITEM?
5. IN THE NATION OF ISLAM WERE YOU GIVEN A WRONG WHY?
6. AS A RESULT OF YOUR INVOLVEMENT WITH THE NATION OF ISLAM DID YOU SELF-LIST?
7. WERE YOU DOING THE NATION OF ISLAM OVER OUT-RUDS?
8. IN THE NATION OF ISLAM DID YOU HAVE AN ARC BREAK?
9. IN THE NATION OF ISLAM DID YOU HAVE A PROBLEM?
10. WAS THE NATION OF ISLAM A PROBLEM TO YOU?
11. IN THE NATION OF ISLAM DID YOU HAVE A WITHHOLD?
12. IN THE NATION OF ISLAM WAS A WITHHOLD MISSED?
13. WERE YOU RUN ON A NATION OF ISLAM PROCESS OVER AN ARC BREAK?
14. WERE YOU RUN ON A NATION OF ISLAM PROCESS OVER A PROBLEM?
15. WERE YOU RUN ON A NATION OF ISLAM PROCESS OVER A WITHHOLD?
16. WERE YOU RUN ON A NATION OF ISLAM PROCESS OVER PROTEST?
17. WERE YOU MADE TO DO SOMETHING IN THE NATION OF ISLAM YOU DIDN’T WANT TO DO?
18. WERE YOU RUN ON A NATION OF ISLAM PROCESS OVER A MISUNDERSTOOD?

We in RTC are training special auditors to deliver the NOI Repair Rundown. This service will be offered at all Class V Orgs.
