It appears Suri Cruise is developing a certain zest for education.
The six-year-old looked enthusiastic on Thursday morning as she headed to school - apparently excited about getting to class at the elite $39,750-per-year Avenues school in New York.
Suri was raring to go, and was seen darting off from her mother Katie Holmes with her bright pink rucksack on her back.

A casual-looking Katie also appeared on good form as she dropped off her daughter at the Manhattan-based school, located in Chelsea neighbourhood.
Holmes, 33, wore jeans, a black top and check jacket, teamed with shades having apparently opted to go make-up free.
Suri recently started at the Avenues school as one of the first intake of 700 pupils.
Aimed at the children of the jet-setting elite 'The World School' enables pupils to follow their parents around the globe without being tied to school vacation schedules.
It was initially reported that other parents were concerned Suri's presence could be disruptive, but it appears the youngster has settled in well.
Katie has been taking her daughter to school almost every day.

Meanwhile her ex-husband and Suri's father Tom Cruise hasn't seen his daughter in nearly 10 weeks.
The actor's long-term lawyer and close friend Bert Fields told MailOnline this week that Cruise was very much 'missing' his little girl - and planned to see her as soon as possible.
He stressed: 'Tom is a loving, caring father. Suri is a vital part of his life and always will be.'
Mr Fields added: 'Of course he’ll be seeing her soon. He’s in England finishing one picture and preparing another.'
He said the star was 'absolutely' looking forward to being reunited with his daughter, insisting: 'He misses her.'
