Leah Remini’s Missing Persons Report for Wife of Scientology Leader Has Been Ruled “Unfounded

Leah Remini’s decision to leave the Church of Scientology has just gotten more chaotic.
On Wednesday, the King of Queens star filed a missing persons report for Michelle “Shelly” Miscavige, the wife of Scientology leader David Miscavige, who hasn’t been seen in the public eye for the past six years.
Yesterday it was ruled by the Los Angeles Police Department that the actress’ claims were “unfounded,” according to the New York Daily News.
“Detectives met with [Michelle] Miscavige in person,” a source from the LAPD told the Daily News. “The investigation is completed and classified as unfounded.”
Last month, Leah revealed that she had left the Church of Scientology after disagreeing with the way the church was being run. She was also unhappy following an altercation with David, where she was mercilessly interrogated after asking why Shelly was not in attendance at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' wedding in 2006.
“I believe people should be able to question things, and I believe you should value family and friendships and hold those close,” Leah said in an interview a little more than a week ago. “I’m not about the family being broken up, and I’m not about to shut up!”
In fact, the 43-year-old has plans to write a tell-all memoir about her experiences in the Church of Scientology.
