Even if issues pertaining to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's split seem to be unseen recently, reports have circulated that the actor wants to bond more with his 7-year-old princess.
The noted Scientology member will soon be buying a luxurious home in London in order for him to be closer to his much publicized daughter. Even if her dad is one of the world's highest paid stars, Suri Cruise's fashion style has gained its own media hype because of its daintiness.
One of the alleged reasons why Tom and Kate broke up was the actor's desire to enlist his daughter in Scientology's Sea Org, an elite Scientology program wherein an individual is mandated to leave his or life behind in exchange of permanent relocation to a compound wherein manual labor is required.
The 'Dawson's Creek' actress apparently doesn't want her only child to be involved with her ex-husband's religious fetish.
There were even rumors that at the height of the divorce, Holmes was closely followed by goons who have been hired by the church of Scientology.
One thing is for sure though - once a daddy's girl, always a daddy's girl.
Tom is known for excessively giving in to his daughter's whims - from pretty dresses down to shoes whose heels are too high for her age.
Indeed, nothing can stop the actor from fulfilling his patriarchal duties that he's now looking for a new real estate investment: "Tom has been planning to set up a base in Europe for about four years, and now he is finally ready to make it happen. He is utterly charmed by London and wants to get a place in Notting Hill...Tom is happy because he thinks putting down roots in London will allow him to take Suri for longer stretches of time. The only downside is Katie will definitely miss seeing her baby girl for longer than a few days at a time," says one source to OK! Magazine.
Is Katie unafraid that her precious girl will be taken away from her permanently? The source adds that there is nothing to be afraid of: "She knows how much Tom loves Suri. They had an amicable split. He would never violate her trust."
Press Release: Narconon in Canada facing 800 signatures to prevent opening
A phone call a few minutes ago to a concerned citizen in Hockley Valley, and several emails today, confirm that Scientology is in for an unexpected opposition to opening a new drug rehab center in their small, rural community.
WireService.ca Press Release - 08/26/2013
The battle lines are drawn in the fight to stop Narconon from opening and the town is well organized. Community members are putting up a fight second to none, with more than 800 signatures now in on a circulating petition.
"We've collected over 800 signatures opposing the zoning proposal. The online petition is a small piece -- all of the others have been from people going door to door," said one concerned citizen. In another email, one stated emphatically "they've [Scientology], messed with the wrong neighborhood …"
This quiet community prides itself in being "just a place for intrepid Ontario travellers to rest their heads. With its inclusion of a Sunday farmers' market, it's instead proving to be a culinary tourism destination that's in turn supporting the local agricultural community."
Support from far and wide is pouring in to help stop Scientology from opening another dangerous, Narconon drug rehab in Canada. Scientology operates a drug rehab network around the globe that has attracted constant media attention over the past few years. Notably, the recent wrongful death lawsuits and fraud investigations in the United States have pushed Scientology's quackery front and center for numerous media outlets.
Following a lengthy investigation by the Quebec College of Physicians and the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services, the 100 bed, Narconon Trois-Rivieres was forced to close. Both entities cited Narconon as not being a science based drug rehab, and a danger to patients. Two Quebec physicians were banned from associating with Narconon - putting on notice all other practitioners.
There are currently 5 cases before the Quebec Human Rights Commission in reference to the exploitation and other human rights violations against patients at Narconon Trois-Rivieres.
The questions of WHY Narconon should not be permitted to open are answered in this embedded video published today.

This Lady Says She Auditioned To Be Tom Cruise’s Wife, And I Believe Her

Oh Scientology, you fickle mistress. You always give me just the tiniest taste of the crazy locked behind your gates, but you never let me come in and eat a whole bowl of it. (In related news, this metaphor is leading me to believe that I should take my lunch break soon.) Anyway, the newest person dishing out the sloppy joes / gossip is a Norwegian woman named Anette Johansen, who believes she was auditioned for the role of Tom Cruise‘s third wife, a part that eventually went to an actress a little more well known — Katie Holmes.
Anette is a Scientologist herself, and she alleges that in 2005, while she was aiding in disaster relief from the tsunami in Thailand on behalf of the church, she was approached and asked to make film a ‘training video’ detailing her experiences. Except she suspects there was a little more to it than that:
Those all seem like pretty odd questions for a training film, particularly because the preparation for the video was so extensive:
“A film crew of four turned up, along with a make-up and hair stylist who made me look very glam – loads of eye shadow, mascara and lip gloss. I prefer a natural look but they told me I had to have lots of makeup.”
She says she did it, though, and didn’t think anything more of it until she read the New Yorker piece by former Scientologist Paul Haggis, who described the church’s search for a new wife for Tom after his divorce from second wife Nicole Kidman. Apparently there was a lot of it that seemed…pretty familiar.
“It was exactly the same! Every little detail was the same – there is no doubt that I was auditioned to be Tom’s wife.”
The Australian publication that Anette was speaking to, Women’s Day, apparently also spoke with Marc Headley, who is described as a ‘former senior Scientologist’, and confirms Anette’s report. His role in the church apparently included getting together ‘a reel of women for Tom to review’. Here’s what he had to say:
“Anette was auditioning for Tom Cruise. Those were the exact same questions they were asking the other girls. This girl had to be perfect in every way.”
Obviously Anette didn’t quite make it through the vetting process, since the relationship name was ‘TomKat’ and not ‘Tom…ette’, but she’s actually really grateful for that.
“I’m very happy that I wasn’t matched up with him. I think what happened to Katie is terrible. Even now it must be very difficult for her because she still has a child with him.”
Previously, when confronted with rumors about conducting auditions, the Church has stated, “There was no project, secret or otherwise, ever conducted by the church to find a bride (via audition or otherwise) for any member of the church. Never. “
So I guess that means you can rest easy about being recruited as Tom’s fourth wife, guys, even though he and Katie got divorced in 2012. Which is a huge relief, because I was not looking forward to being featured in Suri Cruise‘s Burn Book.

This Is (Allegedly) What It’s Like to “Audition” for the Role of Mrs. Tom Cruise
A Norwegian woman has come forward saying that she was once "auditioned" by the church of Scientology to be Tom Cruise's wife. Does the story corroborate previous tales? You be the judge!
The rumors that Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology “audition” women for the role of the actor’s wife have been floating around for a while now; they certainly came back in full force when Tom and Katie Holmes split. What we know is this: On June 29, 2012, the couple announced that they were divorcing; by July 9, the divorce had been finalized; and that fall, Vanity Fair published an expose in their October issue that told the tale of Nazanin Boniadi, who had allegedly auditioned to be Tom’s next wife and dated him from November 2004 to January 2005. I’ve never been totally sure if I’ve believed the rumors—I generally take conspiracy theories with rather a large grain of salt, and this one tends to fall under the heading of “Potentially Too Weird to Be True”—but the more stories that come out about it, I can’t help but wonder if there actually is some truth in them.
The latest story comes from The Underground Bunker, a site run by former Village Voice editor Tony Ortega, in conjunction with Australian magazine Woman’s Day. In it, a Norwegian woman claims that before Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes became an item, she underwent a strange ordeal that she now believes may have been one of Tom’s mysterious “wife auditions.” Does this latest story corroborate Nanzani’s, or is it just another conspiracy theory? You be the judge:
Anette Iren Johansen grew up in a town called Fredikstad, about an hour south of Norway’s capital, Oslo. When she was 19, she moved to Copenhagen, Denmark for college in 1996, planning to become a verterinarian; in 2002, however, she found a flier in the mail that got her interested in Scientology. Two years later, she had dropped out of school and was spending most of her time with the church.
Then it got weird: In January of 2005—a mere four months before Tom began dating Katie and right after his short-lived (and alleged) relationship with Nazanin ended—she was asked to participate in a special audition at the Church of Scientology’s Copenhagen base. Anette had previously appeared in Scientology magazines and training films, so she thought it was going to be something like that—except that it wasn’t. It really, really wasn’t.
For one, there was a makeup team present who got her all gussied up before shooting—which, she said, had never happened during those training film shoots. Then, instead of giving her a script, the just sat her down in front of a camera and asked her a boatload of personal questions. “They asked me so many questions about my life, my family background, everything I’d ever done in Scientology,” she said. “There was a lot of talk about Tom Cruise at that time—he had just been in Norway [hosting[] the Nobel Peace Prize concert.” Before she left, they made her sign a waiver promising that she not speak of the “audition” to anyone.
Two weeks after the audition, a man in California called her on behalf of something he called “Golden Era Productions, international management.” He asked her if she had any “sexual perversions”—seriously!—to which she answered no. The man thanked her and said that he might be getting back in touch with her later—but that was the last she heard of the matter.
The Underground Bunker also got in touch with a guy called Marc Headley, a former church member who says that he worked on a number of these types of “auditions.” About Anette’s story, he said, “That was for Tom Cruise, absolutely.” He continued, “Those are the exact same questions that they were asking the other girls”; he also noted that the reason that weirdo question about “sexual perversions” came up because “They had some girls with histories that weren’t so great. So they were being careful. This girl has to be perfect in all ways” (apparently the future Mrs. Cruise is only allowed to have sex in missionary). The “auditions” didn’t stop until they found Katie.
Anette eventually left Scientology for a variety of reasons: First, she was put off by the church’s 2007 “The Basics” initiative, which required members to spend $3,000 on a repackaging of old Scientology books and lectures; she stopped taking classes around 2010; and in 2012, she both started dating a friend who had left the church and read the Vanity Fair story about Nazanin Boniadi. Looking back, she says, “I think what happened to Katie is terrible. Even now it must be very difficult for her because she still has a child with him. Tom is totally cult minded. I’m very happy that I wasn’t matched up with him.”
So there you have it, Bettys. I’m still not totally sure I’m convinced, but I suppose it’s possible that rather than being “Too Weird to Be True,” the whole thing is actually “So Weird You Can’t Make It Up.” What do you think? Are these “auditions” a real thing? Or is it just one big, huge, wacky, and totally untrue story told for the purposes of sensationalism?
