FRIENDS of former Page 3 girl Leilani Dowding have expressed concern she’s becoming “socially withdrawn” since taking an interest in Scientology.
Last week The Sun revealed the glamour model has been studying the wacky cult in Los Angeles after a string of failed romances.
Now the Bournemouth-born beauty had been spotted swotting up on the religion’s course book, Overcoming Ups & Downs in Life.
Since moving to LA she’s had a messy split from actor Stephen Dorff, 39, and got divorced from Raquel Welche’s ex-husband Richard Palmer,
Worried pals have noticed the model is becoming socially withdrawn, having less and less time for her close friends, preferring instead to be alone with her three dogs.
A source said: “A few of Leilani’s friends have taken her aside and explained that they are worried for her."
Leilani told us: "I have been taking Scientology classes. And I feel Scientology is helping me to help myself in all areas of my life.“

Leilani Dowding shows off her model figure in low-cut orange maxi... as she admits she IS taking Scientology classes
|
It's been years since Leilani Dowding leaped to fame as a Page 3 girl in British tabloids.
However, the brunette beauty showed she's still got her model figure as she stepped out in an orange maxi dress on Wednesday.
The Bournemouth-native, 33, was spotted lunching in West Hollywood following recent reports she has become a Scientologist.
Spring in her step: Model Leilani Dowding leaves the Newsroom Cafe in West Hollywood on Wednesday
Last week, it was reported friends of the model had become concerned when she started studying the controversial religion following a string of failed relationships.
She had high-profile romances with actor Steven Dorff, as well as her co-star George French on VH1 dating show Tough Love Miami in 2011.
When she appeared on Tough Love Miami, she admitted she had been secretly married to one of Raquel Welch's ex-husbands Richard Palmer.
Super toned: The halterneck dress showed off the 33-year-old slim figure
Leilani said in 2011 interview: 'I was the one who wanted to get divorced from my ex. He just assumed I would want something from it and offered me a huge settlement. Because it was my choice, I didn't ask for anything. Because he is a lot older, people assume that yes, I was a gold digger.
'My ex-husband was amazing and such a gentlemen. But he didn't want kids and I did. That is why we didn't work out.'
While Leilani doesn't appear to have become a full-blown Scientologist, the former glamour model has confirmed she has been studying with the group.
Controversial: Leilani confirmed she had been taking Scientology courses
Businesswoman: Leilani has started her own fashion range LeiLuna Collection
She tweeted: 'I've taken some courses and they have definitely helped me.'
Having been one of the most popular Page 3 girls in the UK in the late '90s and early '00s, Leilani moved to the US six years ago.
As well as modelling, Leilani has also launched her own clothing line, Leiluna, which has become a hit with other celebrities, including LeAnn Rimes, The Saturdays singer Una Healy, former pop star Michelle Heaton and TOWIE's Lauren Goodger.

If Only Suri Cruise Was Really Launching Her Own Fashion Line For Kids
The Sun says that international fashion icon Suri Cruise has signed (or scribbled) a $2.3 million deal to start her own fashion line for children calledSuri. Since this is coming from The Sun, then the chances of this happening are about as slim as the chances of Tommy Girl twirling out of the Scientology closet and becoming a spokesperson for GLAAD and the head pharmaceutical rep for the makers of Prozac. But I wish this was made of organic truthiness.
The Sun says that Suri's fashion line will hit New York department stores first and if toddlers with their own credit cards buy it all up, the plan is put the line into department stores across the country. Some source (aka The Sun's intern who was forced to come into the office on a bank holiday) said, “Suri is only seven but she is incredibly interested in clothes. She has been through a very difficult year and adapted amazingly to her new life in New York, including the upheaval of starting normal school. This is a nice hobby for her, it’s certainly not going to take over her life. Most girls dream of being able to make their own clothes, this just means her drawings will now become a reality. It’ll be interesting to see how it pans out, there’s nothing around quite like it.”
The world really, really does need a Suri Cruise fashion line. Suri has probably stopped trying to help Katie Holmes, because that homely, raggedy thing is a lost cause (see pictures of Katie Holmes looking like a homely, raggedy thing last month), but maybe she can help others be a more fashionable them. There are so many toddlers out there looking a damn mess. You don't know how many times I see a toddler out there in sweats, t-shirts, sneakers and normal kid clothes that every normal kid should wear and think to myself, "How could they crawl out of the house looking like that?"
So we really do need Suri to teach the children of the world how to dress. The Sun's article is fiction, but hopefully it turns into fact and Suri puts out a line of $500 kitten heels and daddy & me matching skinny jeans (in the same size!).
Meanwhile, Blue Ivy Carter is down in her studio, drooling out sketches of one-of-a-kind couture gowns for toddlers of the half percent. Making off-the-rack clothes for kids is so GAUCHE!

As part of a massive operation to extract the planet's remaining vital resources, he lives in an airborne 'town' floating thousands of meters above the Earth.
His mission nearly complete, Jack's soaring existence comes crashing down when he rescues a 22-year-old female stranger from a downed spacecraft.
Her arrival triggers a series of events that forces Jack to question everything he knows about the war and its aftermath.

Chinese audiences have grown increasingly important to the entertainment industry in recent years, as China now represents the second-largest film market in the world after the United States.
Promotional tours of the country are recognized as highly beneficial to major projects.
Tom told EW.com of promoting Oblivion in international locations: 'I always wanted to travel the world with my films. I remember when I did Top Gun, it took me five months to travel the world. At that time there was a sense that the U.S. audience was what mattered. People thought in terms of domestic only.
'But I always felt like film was a great unifier. I wanted to make movies for everyone. I think it’s great that studios and producers and directors are thinking about the global audience from the start of a movie now,' he gushed.
