there's just too much good stuff going on at Tony Ortega's site http://tonyortega.org so today's post is a bit poor
Church of Scientology accused of photo shopping the crowd at recent event in Portland to make it seem like more people attended

The Church of Scientology has been accused of photoshopping publicity pictures of a recent event to make it look like there were thousands of people in attendance when in fact there were hundreds.
The Church's Portland branch celebrated the opening of their new Ideal Organization on Saturday at the landmark Sherlock Building.
On their website they wrote about the event: 'On Saturday, May 11, the Church of Scientology Portland celebrated the grand opening of their new home in the city’s historic downtown quarter.
'More than 2,500 Scientologists and guests joined city and state dignitaries for the dedication ceremony.'

This picture shows there are actually a line of trees behind the crowd where - in the Church's posted photo - a crowd of attendees had been doctored in
The other end of the crowd also seemed to have been photoshopped in as another attendee's pictures show more trees and an empty lot behind it
However eyewitnesses who were at or near the event told The Underground Bunker that the number was closer to between 450 and 750.
The picture they posted on their website to accompany the event appears to have been hugely doctored.
The entire right side of the image contains people who were not actually at the event because in real pictures, you can see there is a line of trees there.
The other side of the crowd is also believed to have been photoshopped and again, other images taken show a line of tress where the official Church of Scientology image seems to have added in more people.
The Church have a history of photoshopping their events to make it look like more people are in attendance than actually are
The crowd highlighted in red were those who were photoshopped in, left, and on the right, circled, what the reality was
On an Ex-Scientologist Message Board, someone posted a shot of stacked chairs, showing that the large audience they expected did not turn up.
Scientology had acquired a movie permit that allowed them to shut down several blocks around the building.

The Washington Post reported in January 2000 that the publicity picture of their millennial celebration of Scientology's first 50 years on December 28, 1999, did not have the massive crowd they claimed.
The poorly-doctored image was a repetition of copied and pasted figures - which included a man with no head.
