Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes dropped a divorce bomb on us when they split up just nine months ago, but the estranged couple couldn't be doing better. That is, at least, according to Cruise pal and "Rock of Ages" director Adam Shankman, who spoke to Us Weekly magazine recently.
"They are incredibly happy. I've just been emailing with him. He's coming back. He's shooting ["All You Need Is Kill"] in London and seems as happy as a clam. I know he sees his daughter," Shankman told the publication.
He added: "Katie seems really happy. You just fight through all the noise. And it's noisy!"
Cruise and Holmes have yet to officially speak out about their divorce.
On June 29 last year, Holmes, 34, filed for divorce from Cruise, 50, after five years of a high-profile marriage that mostly played out in the spotlight. The pair reached a settlement in record time -- less than two weeks later -- with Holmes receiving primary physical care of their 6-year-old daughter Suri Cruise, who now lives with her mother in New York.

It has been eight months since Katie Holmes shocked the world with news that she was divorcing her husband of six years, Tom Cruise.
And while the former couple have been through their ups and downs over the last few months, it seems that the couple have found happiness after their split. 
A close friend of the pair say that both Tom and Katie are 'incredibly happy' since they got divorced.

The former couple's good pal Adam Shankman, who directed the 50-year-old actor in Rock of Ages and worked with Katie, 34, when she appeared as a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance, claims Tom is 'happy as a clam' after spending time with their daughter Suri, six, recently.
He told UsMagazine.com: 'They are incredibly happy. I've just been emailing with him. He's coming back.

The ex-couple divorced last July after six years of marriage and Katie was awarded sole custody of Suri, who she lives with in New York.
Tom has rarely been photographed with his daughter since the split but they recently enjoyed some quality time together in London.
A source previously said: 'She spent five days with him. He has been working quite long hours on the set, but he was able to have some time off to be with her. They had a really lovely time.'
