Tom Cruise looks cool in sunglasses at Jack Reacher premiere... but stunning Rosamund Pike steals show once again in yellow dress

Poor Tom Cruise just can’t catch a break.
The Hollywood heavyweight has been jetting around the world to promote his new action movie Jack Reacher at a series of premieres.
But each time without fail, Tom is outshone by his leading lady Rosamund Pike.

And that was the case yet again for the 50-year-old when he rocked up at the Japan premiere of the film in Tokyo on Wednesday.
Tom did his best to play the cool customer by pairing his classic black suit and partially unbuttoned crisp white shirt with some aviator sunglasses.
But he was no match for his co-star, who positively lit up the red carpet when she arrived in a gorgeous asymmetric yellow dress.

The frock had one long sleeve and a sheer panel across the back which was flecked with pretty yellow jewels.
The dress displayed the actress’ petite figure by nipping in at her waist and she off-set the pastel colour with cream and hot pink sandals.
Tom would no doubt have been pleased that her heels were lower than those she has favoured at other premieres for the movie, which left her towering over him.

It seems Rosamund likes to stick to what she knows works well as she has favoured yellow and lime shades for both the London and Stockholm premieres, for which she also wore her hair in an updo similar to that she sported on Wednesday.
Tom and Rosamund posed up beside a flash red sports car with the film’s director Christopher Quarrie as they gave a cheerful wave to their fans.

The day before the duo attended a photo call for the film, with Rosamund in a little white dress and Tom sporting a polo shirt under a navy V-neck jumper along with black skinny jeans.
Jack Reacher, which was released in the US on December 21 and UK on December 26, has grossed $121,010,955 at the box office as of Wednesday.
