Kirstie Alley teams up with former X-Factor contestant to mean girl Leah Remini
I’ve been digging in the weeds in this Lea Remini, Kirstie Alley Scientology feud and it sounds like ridiculous grade school gossip. It’s hard to believe that Kirstie Alley is a grown woman, and yet of course she’s found an ally in her cult who is as emotionally stunted as she is. We’ve heard that Kirstie has been holding meetings to organize a Scientology shut-of of Leah Remini. Now she’s openly teaming up with a woman named Stacy Francis, a singer and former X-Factor contestant who used to be a friend of Leah’s. Stacy has called up multiple favors from Leah in the past, including borrowing money from her. Now that Leah has broken ties with the cult, Stacy is trashing her.
It’s painful to try and make sense of Kirstie and Leah’s idiotic (and vanishing) tweets to each other, but just know that they’re plotting against Leah. On one side of her mouth Kirstie is denying the many stories about her. On the other side she tweeting transparent messages to her CO$ biddies and deleting them, just begging people to call her on her bullshit.
Leah’s sister, Nicole, the one who has been speaking on her behalf to date, told Radar the latest drama.
Leah’s sister, Nicole Remini-Wiskow tells RadarOnline.com that The X Factor star Stacy Francis, who once performed at Scientology functions, is standing alongside Kirstie in making Leah’s life miserable.
On Sunday night, Kirstie tweeted a mysterious message to Stacy: “Oy!!! are you coming Tuesday night?? M has the details!”
As RadarOnline.com reported, Scientology critic Tony Ortega claimed that Kirstie hosted a Scientology crisis meeting at the home of Melinda Brownstone.
On Tuesday, Stacy then retweeted Kirstie’s post insisting her tweets about being betrayed by a friend were not about Leah.
Leah’s sister responded on Twitter, writing: “We know this girl who will have a show about being a Christian in Hollywood. Yet, she is siding with people who acting [sic] in evil. Interesting.” (Stacy has said she is in the “beginning stages” of filming a reality show.)
Stacy then responded with “nasty things on Twitter” in a Mean Girls like barrage, Nicole says.
Stacy deleted the tweets, but in messages recovered by RadarOnline.com, she writes, “People are so shady!! Say it if you got the nerve! Say it! don’t be cryptic!! Get the balls to say it to me! AND!ONLY IF YOU KNOW THE TRUTH!…DON’T BE A SHIT STARTER @nicoleremini YOU BETTER NOT BE TWEETIN ABOUT ME! Oh and nice you are friends again with your OWN SISTER Don’t do it…DEAR SELF>>>>>>GO TO BED! Dealing with bulimic crazy people won’t help you tonight.”
“Like, really?” Nicole says…”Wait a minute Stacy. We were the only ones that stood by you when your family and friends all abandoned you when you got pregnant by that mysterious man whose name we’re not supposed to mention.” Stacy’s baby daddy is Bishop Noel Jones, as RadarOnline.com has reported.
“Leah gave her money,” Nicole claims. “When Stacy wanted to be on The X Factor Leah set that up for her. My sister let her back into her life and all of a sudden she goes and writes this nasty tweet.”
“Leah is not the type of person to cause trouble like that,” Nicole says, and she’s shocked to see former friends go by the wayside. “We had no idea it was going to be like this.”
In response to Stacy’s rant against Nicole, Kirstie tweeted a public message to Stacy “You’re too good to talk to that b***h. Tune her..block her..don’t give her her 15 minutes of fame to spew her hate xxo.” She later tweeted “Dear haters can you please jump faster and louder on my tweets ?!? You’re falling behind.” Of course she deleted both tweets, but the Daily Mail has screenshots.
Former Scientologist Mike Rinder has more on his blog about Stacy’s shifting allegiances, and what this is likely to mean in the murky world of Scientology politics. Basically this woman will be discarded by the cult when she’s no longer useful, which will be soon.
A less fair-weather friend of Leah’s, a judge on RuPaul’s drag race, is speaking out for her. Michelle Visage tells cult expert Tony Ortega that Remini’s Scientology friends have been “scattering like roaches” and that “Only her real friends are left.” Michelle said that this is of course hurtful to Leah and that it surprises her how widespread it is. “Not one person has stood up to say, ‘No, I’m not going to abandon my friend.’ That’s amazing to me.”
“The Remini family gave Scientology millions of dollars, and for her to be treated this way is incredible.”
Leah’s Scientology “friends” aren’t standing up for her, because they know if they even dare text her, they’re next. They don’t want to lose all their friends and most of their family, and most of them probably don’t have a fraction of the resources or connections she does.
This is Stacy Francis. Classy.

'You're too good to talk to that b***h': Kirstie Alley and Stacy Francis wage Twitter war against Nicole Remini after sister Leah's Scientology defection
|
Enraged: Kirstie Alley voiced her support of Stacy Francis, labelling Nicole Remini a b**** via Twitter
Reports surfaced claiming she was 'livid' with actress Leah Remini for defecting from Scientology last week.
And Kirstie Alley showed her continuing anger via her Twitter account on Sunday, when she laid into Leah's sister and staunch defender Nicole Remini Wiskow.
The former Cheers star tweeted former X Factor contestant Stacy Francis after the singer's Twitter row with Nicole.
'You’re too good to talk to that b***h,' she wrote. 'Tune her..block her..don’t give her her 15 minutes of fame to spew her hate xxo.'
'Truth,' replied Stacy, who is reported by Radar to have previously performed at Scientology functions.
'I love Leah Remini too much to say anything negative about her,' Stacy wrote. Her sister shouldn't have disrespected me for no reason.
She added: 'I know I shouldn’t let the lies being written bother me bcuz that is what evil ppl want but I lose sleep and it hurts it really does.'
'It’s so crazy and I don’t want to speak out because it feeds into the nonsense. I mean really can I just sing! This is all sooooo stupid!'
The row appears to have been fuelled by Stacy retweeting Kirstie's post last week insisting her tweets about being betrayed by a friend were not about Leah.
This in turn prompted an escalating row between Nicole and Stacy, with Kirstie wading in with just a hint of sarcasm.
'Dear haters can you please jump faster and louder on my tweets ?!? You’re falling behind,' she wrote.
Nicole attempted to take the moral high ground, writing: 'Understand that when PPL are feeling convicted, it will go 2 ways 1) they will retaliate or 2) change. Don;t give in 2 the ugly. Stick 2 the facts.'
Former Village Voice editor Tony Ortega broke the news of Leah’s departure from Scientology and his in-depth interview with her sister Nicole provided never-before known details of Leah’s life in the religion.
Tweet support: Kirstie advised Stacy to 'block' Nicole from her Twitter feed
According to Radar Online, Nicole, a former Scientologist, claims that both Holmes and Alley wrote ‘knowledge reports’ to the church about 43-year-old Leah’s behaviour. (Church followers are understood to be obliged to submit write-ups on fellow members' transgressions.)
The Church of Scientology strenuously deny any of the sensational allegations brought by Nicole.
Leah, who left the church after 37 years last week, apparently sparked the chain of events at Cruise and Holmes' Italian wedding when she and non-Scientologist friend Jennifer Lopez tried to change seats so they could be next to one another.
Nicole told former Village Voice editor Tony Ortega, who then relayed it via his blog, The Underground Bunker: 'She wanted to sit with Leah, and so Leah went to make it happen.'
Outing the 'haters': Kirstie sarcastically lambasted negative Twitter followers
Moral high ground: Nicole Remini tweeted her followers to 'not give in to the ugly'
But a Hollywood publicist 'took exception to Leah’s request and complained to Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise that Leah was causing a scene,' Ortega described Nicole as telling him.
'Later, Leah asked other people at the event if she had caused a scene and they said she hadn’t,' Nicole says.
One friend of Nicole's then submitted a report to the church in support of the Brooklyn born star which led to four other people writing to the church about the incident, two of which were allegedly Holmes and Alley.
Nicole says Leah told a Scientologist friend what happened and the friend submitted a report to the church, taking Leah’s side.
'They wrote that Leah was an embarrassment to Scientology,' Nicole said. 'They said she ruined the wedding. All she did was ask to change her seat.'
Unofficial mouthpiece: Nicole Remini (left) has been speaking out on behalf of her actress sister Leah, both are ex Scientologists
Speaking out: Nicole has taken it upon herself to defend her younger sibling
Leah was then summoned to Scientology headquarters in Clearwater, Florida.
'She didn’t get to go to OT 7,' Nicole explained about Scientology's higher stages, and she added that 'after three months, they charged her $300,000.'
Leah’s older sister also alleges that Kirstie Alley filed a ‘knowledge report’ about Leah years later after the latter interacted with 2011 defector, Paul Haggis, on Twitter.
Scientology's celebrity favourites have distanced themselves from Leah, 43, since she sensationally left the church last week.
On Tuesday, reports surfaced that Alley - another outspoken defender of the controversial religion - was livid with Leah over the defection, although she's since denied the claims, however, it seems that Leah has one supporter from her A-list days, in the shape of Lopez.
The night it all started: Remini and husband Angelo Pagan leaving the Cruise/Holmes nuptials in 2006
According to People, Lopez, 43, a non-Scientology, has got the Brooklyn girl's back. 'They're best friends and they're fine,' Leah's sister Nicole Remini-Wiskow told the magazine. 'None of her Scientology friends are sticking by her side. I guess you really learn who your friends are.'
Last week, Ortega alleged in his Scientology blog that Alley was 'livid' at Remini for leaving in such a high profile fashion.
He also quoted a cryptic Tweet from last week: 'When faced w malicious gossip I take a moment to experience the loss of the person I thought was my friend… Then I say [bleep] em..:) #RISE'
However, on Monday the 62-year-old Alley Tweeted: 'Lying news outlets. I do NOT care what religion ANYONE is or isn't. I respect religions & would fight for your freedom as well as mine.'
She continued: 'Thank U lying "news" outlets for thinking I have ESP & write tweets "BEFORE" events OCCUR. I accept that compliment. Ur "sources" don't exist.'
Support: Jennifer Lopez is said to be sticking by Leah, and it was the fact the friends wanted to sit together at the Cruise wedding which apparently caused some issues
The way they were: Pictured together on an episode of King Of Queens, Kirstie and Leah have known each other for years
Remini's relationship actually started to unravel the night of Cruise's wedding, and Lopez was there to witness it.
According to sources, the King of Queens star spent the night chatting with Jennifer in the hotel bar; cloistered at the heart of Tom's celebrity circle.
But then she had the temerity to ask Scientology leader David Miscavige the whereabouts of his wife Shelly.
And the interaction with Kirstie Alley took another turn for the intriguing on Wednesday.
After Leah's sister Nicole alleged that Alley ignored Leah's pleas to help Staten Island after Superstorm Sandy, Alley Tweeted: 'Need ur opinion. “IF there was a whopping lie about U floating around, would U make statement or let it pass? I’d appreciate your views. : )'
Earlier, in a series of no-holds-barred, cryptic tweets posted on July 10, Kristie appeared to slam her friend of 30 years for spreading what she called 'malicious gossip'.

Question: Leah is said to have asked where Scientology leader David Miscavige's wife Shelly was at the wedding
'When faced w malicious gossip I take a moment to experience the loss of the person I thought was my friend... Then I say f*** em..:)' she posted to her more than one million followers.
Six hours later, she followed up with 'the sweetest poison is often served with a smile...beware syrup' as she allegedly arrived at long-time Church member Melinda Brownstone's home for crisis talks.
Melinda was said to have been Leah's oldest and best friend, having met when she first moved to LA at the tender age of 13, however, all members have reportedly been instructed to 'disconnect' from the star immediately.
Former King Of Queens star Leah joined the Church with her mother in the 1970s after relocating to Los Angeles from Brooklyn to pursue her acting dream.
Leah reportedly called time on her association following years of interrogation for questioning the whereabouts of leader David Miscavige's wife, Shelly, who hasn't been seen since 2007.
In a statement released to People magazine on July 11, the 43-year-old thanked the public for supporting her decision to cut ties with the controversial church.
'I wish to share my sincere and heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming positive response I have received from the media, my colleagues, and from fans around the world. I am truly grateful and thankful for all your support.'
Other famous long-time celebrity Scientology devotees include Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Jenna Elfman and Juliette Lewis.
MailOnline has reached out to Kirstie and Katie's spokespeople for comment but is yet to receive a response.
Cryptic tweets: Kirstie posted these messages on July 10
A Scientology spokesperson issued this statement to Radar about Nicole and her claims from the Cruise wedding plus other charges that Scientologists have been told to 'disconnect' or break ties with Leah.
It read: 'The statements by Ms. Remini-Wiskow are absurd. Considering how big a wedding it was and her sister’s comments published in the media about what a good time everyone had, it is pretty unbelievable this is the story being told. Further, she hasn’t been in the Church since 2005, has no personal knowledge of any events described and knows firsthand that her own sister did not “disconnect” from her.
'Contrary to myths spouted by… anti-Scientologists, the Church cannot and does not "order" any parishioner to disconnect. Such a decision always has been and remains a deeply personal choice made entirely by the individual. This has been spelled out clearly on our website for years.'
Scientology also claims that Miscavige’s wife is still around, fine and active in the church.
